Neon Abyss Abyssal Difficulty
Win a Hard run at five dots to unlock Abyssal. The dots above the difficulty at the Bar are sub-difficulty levels, not a Crystal price.

Veewo’s historical FAQ confirms the five-dot Hard victory. The 1.2.5.6 Default-Branch update explicitly says Abyssal remains accessible once unlocked; the older wiki loss warning is not treated as the current default rule.
Unlock Abyssal
| Field | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Select | Hard |
| Required sub-difficulty | Five dots |
| Required result | Win that run |
| Version scope | 1.2.5.6 Default-Branch: accessible any time after unlock; current individual console builds were not tested here |
Prepare the Run
Each difficulty has five dot levels. Wins increase the level; losses lower it. Normal five dots is described as close to Hard one dot, not identical in every enemy statistic.
- Select Hard at the Bar and inspect the dots.
- Win runs until Hard displays five dots.
- Win the five-dot Hard run.
- Check that Abyssal is selectable. If it disappears on your build, record the version and report the discrepancy; the documented default-branch rule keeps it unlocked.
What Higher Difficulty Changes
The wiki lists more enemy and boss health, faster movement and attacks, and fewer general consumable drops. From Hard upward, Bombs are thrown immediately rather than aimed. No exact damage or drop-rate multiplier is established.
Questions this page answers
Does Abyssal cost Crystals?
The documented unlock is a Hard five-dot victory, not a stated Crystal purchase.
Is it a Cursed boss route?
No. Cursed forms use their own token/Faith conditions. Abyssal is a difficulty selection.
