Neon Abyss 2 Builds
Choose a build by its supported mechanic, not an invented S-tier score. The 1.0 set changes below provide concrete starting points.

This is an editorial decision aid derived from published mechanics, not a performance-tested ranking.
Six Documented Set Mechanics
| Set | Mechanic | Dependency / limit |
|---|---|---|
| Sky Heist | Permanent rainbow key; automatic nearby hacking | More Keys increase connected targets; attack speed affects hacking |
| Alloy Resolve | Explosion immunity and free grenades | Blast range becomes 1.5 times its previous value |
| Lovely Legion | Hatchmon eggs turn into shields | 1.0 clarifies conversion visuals; no new damage multiplier supplied |
| Carnival Frenzy | Continuous Jump Marks | Every third mark becomes a homing turret cloud |
| Tao Unfolds | Ten Purple Wisps per battle | Respawn interval is one tenth of its previous value; charge speed doubles |
| Arcane Echo | Active Curio cost halved; minimum one Crystal | Stores up to six Crystal Daggers; firing rate scales with attack speed |
Build Around What You Have
These are conditional recommendations, not measured clear-speed grades.
- Read the current weapon affixes and the set counter before spending resources.
- Choose a mechanic that already has support: Keys for hacking, jumps for Jump Marks, or active Curios and Crystals for Arcane Echo.
- Use the Training Room downstairs at the Bar to compare unlocked weapons against static, moving and multiple targets.
- During an upgrade, compare the direct upgrade choices with Tempering, which adds a specific affix.
- Before Artifact extraction, decide whether losing its effect is worth a visible stat bonus. Check the six stat categories in the pause menu afterward.
Weapon Affixes and Upgrade Decisions
Weapon Reforge gives each weapon static and dynamic affixes. Their benefits can include damage, attack speed, resources and weapon-specific mechanics; the announcement is not a complete affix-name or numerical-roll table.
| Decision | Documented rule |
|---|---|
| Weapon and affix rarity | Common, Rare, Epic, Legendary |
| Higher weapon levels | Increase the potential potency and variety of affixes |
| Direct upgrade | Choose between the two direct upgrade options |
| Tempering | Take a specific affix instead of a direct upgrade |
| Artifact extraction | Destroys the Artifact in exchange for stat bonuses; inspect Damage Bonus, Attack Speed, Projectile Range, Projectile Size, Critical Chance and Luck in the pause menu |
Questions this page answers
What is the best build?
No universal best is demonstrated. Arcane Echo suits repeated active Curio use; Sky Heist depends on Keys and attack speed; Carnival Frenzy is jump-focused. These recommendations follow the stated mechanics, not logged win rates.
What is Umbrism?
No A/B effect or type is established by this audit. A search term is not enough to call it an item or a build core.
