Neon Abyss Secret Rooms
Unlock Hidden Room first. Then inspect Teleporter Rooms with the most active connections and use an explosion to open the hidden-room wall.

The Hidden Room page supplies generation and entrance rules. Machine rooms and Temple rooms are distinct systems, not interchangeable names.
Find and Enter the Hidden Room
These rules refer to Neon Abyss (2020), not the sequel.
- Unlock the Hidden Room upgrade at the Bar.
- On the map, identify Teleporter Rooms with the greatest number of active adjacent rooms; a maximum of three ordinary connections leaves the hidden connection available.
- If candidates tie, generation chooses one randomly. A hidden room is not a corridor between two Teleporter Rooms.
- Use an explosion on the candidate wall. If it does not open, test another valid candidate rather than repeatedly spending Bombs on the same wall.
What Can Be Inside
Consumables, Chests, gift boxes, small challenges, special rooms, item rooms and another shop are among the wiki examples. The rule does not guarantee one particular reward.
Do Not Confuse the Entrances
| Room | Entrance |
|---|---|
| Hidden Room | Upgrade plus a hidden connection; explode the wall |
| Temple | Fill the violence/wisdom meter; travel via Portal Stone |
| 404 Room | Office task and Chief Engineer; not a random dungeon wall |
Claw, Vending and Roulette Machines
These first-game wiki mechanics were checked on 15 October 2026. Unlock the relevant Bar upgrade before expecting these rooms or machines to appear; no current-port control-button test was performed.
| Machine | Access / cost in wiki | Action and outcome |
|---|---|---|
| Claw Machine | First upgrade tree; 10 coins per attempt | Stop the moving arm with interaction, then press again to close and retract the claw. Hitting a moving Bomb ends the attempt; returning to the top awards the caught object. |
| Vending Machine / Blind Box | Upgrade required; 10 coins per use | Each use drops a gift. The wiki says it breaks after three to five uses; do not plan an unlimited supply. This dungeon machine is separate from Room 404 code cards. |
| Roulette Machine | Upgrade required; 10 coins per spin | Yellow pays coins and red pays nothing. Filled upper lights can enable a larger winning payout on the next spin. Breakage and outcomes are not guaranteed profit. |
Questions this page answers
Do I shoot the wall?
The documented entrance uses an explosion. A normal shot is not the rule given by the Hidden Room page.
